Absolutely pure speculation, but since theres a 0 transparency policy from the devs surrounding what it takes to get banned outside “without any shadow of doubt” i very much have the imagination to see something happen here. Generally and especially, at the very top of the leaderboards where, if most of every top players, are playing a friday night or whenever , they should be playing against eachother almost all the time because thats simply how ELO works, and it would be extremely easy for a streamer to gain “proof” that they are getting streamsniped because they could potentially die to the same person every games, if they happen to play the same area of the map in the early game.

Its going to be very hard to maintain that streamsniper policy while you are running an ELO system. It also potentially gives streamsnipers some kind of a “immunity” from bans because if they happen to be top 10 EU they have a very good argument that “im not streamsniping, im just playing the game with my friends and i left early because one from my team died early”.
